What did you spend your Stimulus Check on?

Research would say that many Americans spent theirs on porn.

According to Kirk Mishkin, Head Research Consultant for AIMRCo, "Many of the sites we surveyed have reported 20-30% growth in membership rates since mid-May when the checks were first sent out, and typically the summer is a slow period for this market."

And a few others spent theirs this way.

What did your Stimulus Check go towards?

$199 Xbox 360s

Buy.com is selling reconditioned Xbox 360s for $199 with free shipping.

Great price. I've ordered things from them before however and waited weeks to be informed that the item was out of stock and wouldn't be restocked. This was after they had already charged my credit card and held my money for that time. They were pretty quick to refund it after they informed me that the item was no longer available however.

One Hundred Push Ups

One Hundred Push Ups

I found the 100 Push Ups website today while skimming through some fitness blogs and I figure that I'll give it a try. The premise is very simple. Start out slow and be able to do 100 consecutive good form push ups at the end of the 6 week program. I'm already in pretty decent shape right now and in the initial test I did a quick 30 some push ups on the floor here in my office. I intend on starting the program along with a new initial test at home on Monday.

If you’re serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you’ll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups! Think there’s no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achieve this goal!

Anyone else care to try and share their daily progress/results in the comments section of this post?

Yamaha Branded Deus Ex Machina

This is by far one of the coolest automotive concept vehicles that I've seen in quite some time. Introducing the Yamaha branded Deus Ex Machina.

Deus Ex Machina

A project by Art Center College transportation design student Jake Loniak, the Deus Ex Machina is truly a wearable motorcycle. The Yamaha branded vehicle is powered by NanoPhosphate batteries (think Hybrid vehicles) and ultra-capacitors, the motorcycle is capable of 0 to 60 acceleration in 3 seconds and a limited top speed of 75 mph. Recharge time for the vehicle is said to be 15 minutes with a ride time of 1 hour.

Yamaha Deus Ex Machina

The motorcycle is controlled using 7 artificial vertebrae, 36 pneumatic muscles, and 2 linear actuators in conjunction with your body movements. Meaning this thing really is controlled by making it an extension of your body.

More info and pictures are available at Green Car Design.

Looking to rent a patio?

Well it looks like you're in luck. For just $4 (or $5 if you want a hammock thrown in) you'll be able to rent this beauty in Rio Rancho.

Dude, I am so ****ing broke. You can live on my patio. We'll call you "the guy on the patio". I'm serious, don't even mock me. FOUR DOLLARS. Four dollars and you set up your shit right here. You'll have total privacy, seriously. You'll have full visibility of the blinds at all times. You won't actually be able to open and close them because they'll be on the other side of the glass, but you can ask us to open or close them if you get too much living room shining out on your face. There's also plenty of dirt to play in. You and the cat. I also have a kick-ass hammock that you can sleep in if you throw in another dollar. Seriously, bring me 5 bucks and you're my ****in' roommate. Er, patiomate. Right now. I'm not joking. You have free access to jump the wall, anytime day or night. Free weed is NOT an option, so don't even try sportin' that angle. You have to get your own schwag mister.

I think this thing'll rent pretty fast so don't lolligag. I haven't seen ONE patio for rent like this on Craigslist, so don't **** around man, seriously, take action NOW!

PS-If you look closely you can see the hammock, right by the mop and that box. It's really nice. Serious inquiries only/no crank calls. I'm not a clown and I'm definitely not a ****in' monkey, whatever that has to do with anything.

I <3 Craigslist lol

SOLo Lounge Table

Here's an expensive gadget/piece of furniture by Intelligent Forms called the SOLo Lounge Table.

SOLo Lounge Table

Here's the cool thing about it. The table top is actually a solar panel covered in tempered glass. It can harness ~73 kilowatt hours of solar energy annually. The site goes on to say that this provides the amount of power equivalent to over 100 iPod or mobile phone charges per day, 40 Iphone charges per day, or 3 laptop charges per day. It also includes a USB plugin as well as a lighter and 3 electrical outlets. During the night time hours, internal LEDs under the tempered glass emit light.

A cool but expensive outdoor piece. The Intelligent Forms web site shows the MSRP as $14,000 for the build to order table. [ Read More! ]

Subway Soulja Girl

I'm sure most of you have already seen this video as it has already made it's rounds through the internet in the last few weeks.

Here's a little background on the video. It shows a teenager screaming and yelling Soulja Boy lyrics and obsceneties at an elerdy woman before someone finally decides they've had enough, tells her to shut up, and grabs her by the weave. She then threatens to "President Charley" (press charges) and then gets off the train.

Stimulus payments with taxes filed on TurboTax Online

It looks like if you filed your taxes this year through TurboTax online, you'll be waiting a while longer than originally anticipated for your stimulus check. Here is some information I found on the TurboTax web site about stimulus payment with taxes filed through TurboTax Online. Here's the skinny
IMPORTANT -- Using "Refund Transfer" with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust could affect when you get your rebate

Even if you have received or will receive your tax refund by direct deposit to your bank account using Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, the IRS will not do the same for your tax rebate. It will mail your rebate instead. This means if you had TurboTax take out your filing fees from your tax refund, rather then paying them yourself via credit card, you'll be getting your stimulus check by mail.

This applies only if you used the "refund transfer" service when filing. The service lets you pay for your tax preparation and/or e-filing from your refund proceeds, for an additional fee, rather than use a credit card.
Basically, even if you received your refund through direct deposit, your stimulus payment will be coming through snail mail.

Here are the dates for the payments on the IRS Stimulus Payment Schedule.
