Golden Star Restaurant Closing?
Anyone have any word on if the Golden Star Restaurant on San Pedro and Menaul here in Albuquerque will be closing?
It has been closed after the robbery and homicide that happened there at the start of July. Yesterday on my way home I noticed there was a realtor sign in front of the place. Anyone know what the word is? Albuquerque Bicyclists Rock!
Just wanted to say thanks to the bicyclist that helped me out this morning on San Pedro and Comanche when the chain on my bike slipped and got lodged between the frame and the cog.
Thanks! This is part of the reason Albuquerque is a great place to live Kaboom!
Don't be too startled if you hear some explosions and see smoke in Albuquerque. Sandia Labs is doing some super secret tests and that's what is causing the ruckus. Well depending on what part of town you live in, It'll either be that or a meth lab whoopsie.
My dad in the Albuquerque Journal
My dad was in the Albuquerque Journal in an article that they ran about Sitel's work from home program. Very cool!

New number for New Mexico road conditions
Checking road conditions in the Land of Enchantment has become a little easier. The state has announced that a new number has gone in effect today which will replace the old 1-800 number previously used to call in and check road conditions in New Mexico.

Research would say that many Americans spent theirs on porn.
According to Kirk Mishkin, Head Research Consultant for AIMRCo, "Many of the sites we surveyed have reported 20-30% growth in membership rates since mid-May when the checks were first sent out, and typically the summer is a slow period for this market." And a few others spent theirs this way. What did your Stimulus Check go towards? How to confuse an idiot![]() Friends With Benefits$199 Xbox 360s
Buy.com is selling reconditioned Xbox 360s for $199 with free shipping.
Great price. I've ordered things from them before however and waited weeks to be informed that the item was out of stock and wouldn't be restocked. This was after they had already charged my credit card and held my money for that time. They were pretty quick to refund it after they informed me that the item was no longer available however. You can also check out some of the latest crawls made using the site. One Hundred Push UpsI found the 100 Push Ups website today while skimming through some fitness blogs and I figure that I'll give it a try. The premise is very simple. Start out slow and be able to do 100 consecutive good form push ups at the end of the 6 week program. I'm already in pretty decent shape right now and in the initial test I did a quick 30 some push ups on the floor here in my office. I intend on starting the program along with a new initial test at home on Monday. If you’re serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you’ll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups! Think there’s no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achieve this goal! Anyone else care to try and share their daily progress/results in the comments section of this post?Strange sightings
You find the strangest things getting pulled down the road some days. Sent to me by my friend "Gina."

Yamaha Branded Deus Ex Machina
This is by far one of the coolest automotive concept vehicles that I've seen in quite some time. Introducing the Yamaha branded Deus Ex Machina.
![]() A project by Art Center College transportation design student Jake Loniak, the Deus Ex Machina is truly a wearable motorcycle. The Yamaha branded vehicle is powered by NanoPhosphate batteries (think Hybrid vehicles) and ultra-capacitors, the motorcycle is capable of 0 to 60 acceleration in 3 seconds and a limited top speed of 75 mph. Recharge time for the vehicle is said to be 15 minutes with a ride time of 1 hour. ![]() The motorcycle is controlled using 7 artificial vertebrae, 36 pneumatic muscles, and 2 linear actuators in conjunction with your body movements. Meaning this thing really is controlled by making it an extension of your body. More info and pictures are available at Green Car Design. Free yard cleaning in Albuquerque

Well it looks like you're in luck. For just $4 (or $5 if you want a hammock thrown in) you'll be able to rent this beauty in Rio Rancho.
Dude, I am so ****ing broke. You can live on my patio. We'll call you "the guy on the patio". I'm serious, don't even mock me. FOUR DOLLARS. Four dollars and you set up your shit right here. You'll have total privacy, seriously. You'll have full visibility of the blinds at all times. You won't actually be able to open and close them because they'll be on the other side of the glass, but you can ask us to open or close them if you get too much living room shining out on your face. There's also plenty of dirt to play in. You and the cat. I also have a kick-ass hammock that you can sleep in if you throw in another dollar. Seriously, bring me 5 bucks and you're my ****in' roommate. Er, patiomate. Right now. I'm not joking. You have free access to jump the wall, anytime day or night. Free weed is NOT an option, so don't even try sportin' that angle. You have to get your own schwag mister. |
